We thank our strong supporters
12 years ago with an empty pocket but a strong will & desire to help fellow human beings in whatever little way possible this trust started its activities. An old friend of the Founder donated Rs 1000 and with this money as the Corpus the Trust was registered. A few months later the first major donation of Rs 3000 came from a gentleman who was on his way to Saudi Arabia. This was utilised to educate a visually impaired student. But today if we are supporting nearly 100 children it is only because of the support from our donors - individuals, organisations in India and overseas.

Maithri thanks MARK SACHQUET FOUNDATION, BARCELONA, SPAIN for generously accepting to provide sponsorship for 40 children for the year 2007-08 academic year. They've visited Maithri office and met with few of their students.
Maithri also thanks Prasad Ramanan of USA for his contribution in a generous way to educate differently abled and provide medical and general health check up, and preventing school dropouts. Maithri is jointly working with an NGO who are specialist in the rural areas and out skirts of Chennai city. Maithri also thanks HHH, NY USA for helping Maithri.
